“What do you want to do with your life?” It’s a question being asked of recent high school graduates across the country. I vividly remember wanting to be a teacher. Although I would eventually enter the field of Recreation Administration and Camp Leadership, what I desired most was to make a difference with children. What I received from my first job at Hermann Sons Life-Camp was more than I could have ever anticipated.

Through the community created at Camp, children learn how to interact with others and grow. They gain skills that impact the rest of their lives and become better people because of the experiences they have and the lessons they learn. All of this impacts their local communities and our society as a whole.
