I’ve been told that there’s nothing more exciting than attending a hockey game in person. I wouldn’t know because I’ve never been to one. But now I have the perfect opportunity to do just that and support a very worthy cause at the same time.

Nov. 18 has been designated as Hermann Sons Life Family Fun Night at the San Antonio Rampage hockey game at the AT&T Center in San Antonio. The Rampage team is a part of the American Hockey League and a part of the National Hockey League Colorado Avalanche franchise.

This promises to be an exciting night for Hermann Sons Life members and their friends and families.

Twenty Hermann Sons Life members will be selected to high five the players as they take the ice.

And, if at least 100 tickets are sold, Hermann Sons Life members will be able to free skate on the ice after the game. The Rampage will provide the skates.

The discount prices for this special promotion are $25 and $17.

The $25 tickets are the charter level seats nearest the ice. The $17 tickets are the plaza level seats.

Oh, and did I mention that it will be $1 Beer and Soda Night.

When you buy your tickets through this special promotion, a portion of the cost of each ticket will benefit the Grief Support Session at Hermann Sons Life-Camp.

If you will recall, grief support is the focused service cause of Hermann Sons Life. For the first time ever, a Grief Support Session will be added to the summer schedule at Hermann Sons Life-Camp in 2017. A half-week session is planned July 5-8 for children ages 6 to 17 who have lost a loved one. Volunteer program staff and licensed therapists will work together to create a special stay for these children.
