Wow, where has the time gone? Seems like it hasn’t been four years since the last Grand Lodge Convention, but here it is. The 47th Grand Lodge Convention is upon us in only one month. Soon we will be meeting in San Marcos to carry out the business of our Order. I look forward to visiting with our delegates who are tasked with making important decisions relevant to our future.
Given a chance to involve the Marketing Department during this event, we want to present to our delegates and guests a special Convention opportunity to recommend new potential members. In the March issue of the Hermann Sons Life newspaper, I mentioned that our current members are our greatest resource for bringing new members into our Order. At the Convention we will have a table where you stop by and bring us the name of a potential new member.
In the spirit of our 2017 campaign, “We Strengthen Community Through Financial Protection and Service,” the Marketing Department is offering not one, not two, but three ways to win at Convention.
No. 1 – Any member who brings in a good solid referral for membership will be entered into a special Convention drawing for $100 to be awarded at the Tuesday night banquet. A solid referral is a person who is ready to speak to a Hermann Sons agent.
No. 2 - In the spirit of the lodge membership growth campaign, we will award the lodge that submits the most referrals at Convention a $100 gift card. This is separate from the annual campaign, which will recognize all lodges that meet their 2017 membership goal.
No. 3 – Any field agent, whether a Convention delegate or not, who submits insurance or annuity applications within the week prior to or at Convention, will be entered into a special drawing for a $100 gift card.
At the Marketing table at Convention we will have referral cards, pens, literature, and a map of Texas, where we will track the areas where our members are referring and our agents are writing insurance. We will be proud to provide a visual roadmap of recruitment and production activity for all to see. Don’t let your region be vacant or sparsely represented.
Plan on bringing referral information (or insurance applications) to the Convention and let your pride for Hermann Sons shine through. All our Marketing staff will be on hand and eager to visit with you at Convention. By the way, we have a special gift for those who give us a good, solid referral of a potential new member.
